![]() I tried to use an old PC on my company w/ win7 and my ipod was able to be detected, Can anyone from apple community Identify what's causing the detection issue, is it caused by Windows 10 or the USB 3? I like my Ipod and still working great but it should be at least able to detect or sync using the newest PC or Laptop. I tried this procedure and even update my usb drivers but still no detection occurred on windows but only a charging state at the ipod. Under device manager USB controllers there are no errors. I change my PC to an upgraded version and unluckily my Ipod was not detected anymore but on the Ipod status it is displaying a charging status. PC with Windows 10 (64-bit) w/ USB 3 ports - Ipod was unable to be detected on winExplorer and Itunes Version 12.10.4.2 PC with Windows 7 Prof (64-bit) w/ USB 2 ports - Ipod was able to be detected on winExplorer and Itunes Version 12.10.4.2 Plug the iPod in, select it from under Devices, and choose Check for Updates from under the iPod's Summary tab to the right in the main iTunes pane. My old version Ipod nano (Version 1.1.3 / Model MA477J). Since you are looking for a new version of the software, you should be able to connect the iPod to iTunes and check for updates to the iPod's firmware there. ![]()
